Some of the advantages are that it is durable, long-lasting wood. It has an extremely attractive wood grain.

 

Oak is far less likely to warp when exposed to sunlight and has good water-resistant properties. It is highly resistant to wear and tear and it stains and polishes well and is ideal for liming too.
